Matt Podesta has been putting an original spin on even the most functional handmade furniture since he graduated with a degree in furniture design in 1992. Years of work for Habitat, Tom Dixon, Smallbone and Mark Wilkinson proved his virtuosity: today a liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, he is a man who can always be trusted to transform the everyday into the extraordinary.

Matt started Podesta in 2002 and since then, he and his design team have channelled their knowledge and enthusiasm into an inspiring diversity of commissions. Past masters at dreaming up unusual kitchens and focal-point furniture for private homes, they can also turn their skills to environments such as hotels, restaurants and yachts.

Whether working in conjunction with interior designers and architects or dealing directly with the client, they are able to produce bespoke, fitted and free-standing solutions of every style and size. Expert cabinet-makers at the company's British workshops use traditional skills to translate the Podesta vision into three dimensions, using premium-quality, sustainably sourced materials.
